I almost feel bad for some of you sneakerheads out there. This year’s NBA All-Star Weekend is going to be overrun with incredible releases, from Nike‘s always spectacular colorways for their stars LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, and Kevin Durant, to the All-Star edition of Kyrie Irving‘s first signature sneaker, to adidas pulling off the same thing for John Wall and Damian Lillard, to bushels of dope kicks coming out from the Jordan Brand.
There’s a lot going on, but it might just start with the “Bulls Over Broadway” colorway for the Air Jordan X. Dropping today at Champs Sports, this shoe is yet another retro release in JB’s remastered lineup for 2015 and features an all-red upper and inner lining. With black and grey accents, as well as a grey outsole featuring black and red paint splatters, the shoe is going to hit hard with both longtime collectors who want to see new, traditional colorways on old school favorites, as well as new school sneakerheads that seem to want all-red on everything.
This is the sneaker Michael Jordan wore during his initial return to the NBA in March of 1995. He had a few memorable moments in the X, most notably the 55-point “double-nickel” he put on the Knicks in Madison Square Garden. But alas, because Jordan eventually ditched the X for the Jordan XI, this became one of the line’s most underrated sneakers ever.
This year, the Air Jordan 10 “Bulls Over Broadway” Is a Major Highlight of NBA All-Star Weekend, and if you aren’t actively out trying to scoop your pair, your luck might just run out. Make sure you’re up on game.
