The adidas ZX Flux is one of the more versatile silhouettes in the game, having grown in popularity over the past few years specifically because it features a one-piece mesh upper that can look good in almost any design. In the latest killer colorways releasing now at Champs Sports, the shoe shows it can even rock “Snakeskin” print.
This isn’t the first time the Flux has dropped in patterns resembling snakeskin. In the “Unisex Print” pack from August of 2014, the shoe came to life in three different looks. The most memorable one, however, had to be the snakeskin satin fabric that included digitally-printed, color-saturated images. It was an odd look and yet the adidas ZX Flux somehow pulled it off.
This time around, these colorways are hitting for everyone looking to step it up for the new school year.
The Flux finds its roots deep within the ZX Family. The ZX 8000 first dropped in 1989, nearly 30 years ago. The Flux is merely a stripped down model of that, taking advantage of the new lifestyle trend among sneakerheads of today who want everything simple and versatile.
The Flux’s ancestors were game-changers when they first came out, and now it’s happening again. The shoe has shown it works with all types of graphics, including the recent “Fire and Ice” pack. Chicago Cubs All-Star Kris Bryant is a huge fan of the Flux, even going so far as to design a couple of his own pairs this season. If one of baseball’s best players can rock this, so can you.
