5 Things That Make the Nike Basketball Elite “Elevate” Pack Different From the Competition

    Direct player insight

All three of these shoes were created based off countless hours of first-hand analysis and feedback from Kobe, LeBron, and Durant. You don’t often get that with other sneakers, especially ones that come out “midseason.” Yes, in this day and age, most signature sneakers come only after getting the stamp of approval from the player. But the difference with these shoes is that they were made based off actual in-game and in-season responses. Amazing.

    Time specific

Yes, Kobe and Kevin are already vacationing for the summer because neither the Lakers nor the Thunder made the playoffs. But LeBron is still going strong. And in fact, this particular aspect of the “Elite” collection from Nike is more necessary for the King than for anyone else. A 6-8, 250-pound man, LeBron might break down at the end of the season if he isn’t properly supported. Instead–and this is something Nike has started doing every year for him–his shoe is adjusted to fit his needs for the postseason. A time-specific sneaker is a must for anyone hitting the AAU circuit now that the seasons are finished.

    The colorways

All three of these kicks sport some semblance of blue in them, and while the LeBron 12 and KD7 are both amazing, it’s the Kobe X that REALLY stands out. A wolf grey upper with the light blue and green tones on the inner lining, outsole, and midsole? I have to have these. These will look too fresh with just about any uniform on the court.

    Sneaker tech

The Kobe X sports dynamic Flywire in a Flyknit upper, as well as a ridiculous tracking system that includes Lunarlon, Zoom Air, and Nike Free-inspired siping. The LeBron 12 has those now iconic hexagonal Air pads on the outsole, along with Megafuse construction in the upper and wings for lockdown. Finally, the KD7 has the trifecta of Hyperposite in the upper, dynamic Flywire, and Zoom Air cushioning. It’s a lot to take in, so even if it’s overwhelming, just know this: The sneaker tech for these is on fleek.

Get decked out in swag head-to-toe after coping the kicks as all three have player-specific socks, shorts, shirts, and even backpacks. It isn’t enough to stunt in just the shoes anymore if you want to have a lit IG page. You have to go all out.

Here’s the thing about the end of the school year: If you’re a real ballplayer, basketball is just warming up. What I mean by that is sometimes the season isn’t even the highlight of your year. In the summer, there are AAU tournaments that last all weekend, have you playing five games in two days and drinking approximately 19 Gatorades, and then there are summer camps with loads of college scouts, and even summer league games with the high school where you get to see which young guys are actually working on their games and who is ready to supplant an older, more experienced player. The game doesn’t end. It doesn’t ever end if you love it.

I remember always being intrigued by other sports like baseball and football. In the end, though, I never played them after a certain age. I couldn’t NOT play ball all year.

If you are like me, you’re probably looking for some new kicks to sport on the courts this summer. For that, look no further than the new “Elevate” pack from Nike Basketball‘s Elite series. All three sneakers were some of the most promising shoes released this year, and with the recent launch of the Elite series, they got upgraded looks and sneaker technology.

From the Kobe X to the LeBron 12 to the KD7, make sure you know what you’re getting before they launch for real today at Champs Sports. Trust us, after reading this, you won’t want to miss them. Here are 5 Things That Make the Nike Basketball Elite “Elevate” Pack Different From the Competition.
