Tomorrow is a huge day for sneakerheads. It’s the long-awaited return of the “Oreo” edition of the Air Jordan IV, one of the best colorways in the sneaker’s storied history. (This release has been coined the “Tech Grey” IV.) It also hasn’t seen the light of day since the first round of retro IVs in 1999. That was 16 years ago. We’re in a new generation now, one that normally isn’t copping to wear on the hardwood. We’re copping to rock.
You’ll be able to get this sneaker at Champs Sports tomorrow, but don’t go into it blind. Anyone can throw on a pair of dad jeans and wear the Tech Greys and maybe, just maybe, a few of your friends won’t know any better and will show love. But if you want to show out on the ‘gram, if you want to step up your status outside of your inner circle, it’s best to lock in a few fits to go with this new shoe.
The shoe itself is a mid-cut, featuring a defined tongue, a speckled midsole, and a pull tab along the heel. The upper’s tumbled leather is also a key part of the shoe; as part of Jordan Brand’s 2015 remastered series, fans are expecting the quality to be top-of-the-line. Between all of that, the sneaker’s cut and colors will allow you a number of options for the rest of your look, including joggers and fleece pants to show out on social media.
Today, we got 5 Things to Cop Before You Get the “Tech Grey” Air Jordan 4. You’ll be flossin’ by tomorrow afternoon. We promise.
